Happy Rick Springfield Day!
What do you mean, you may ask. Isn’t every day Rick Springfield Day?
True, but on Aug. 13, 1982, Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley officially proclaimed the day as Rick Springfield Day. Since the former mayor has a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport named after him, you know he had some clout.
So if you need an excuse to play Rick Springfield music all day long, today can be the day.
